The Begnas Hiking

:The trek is short, but you are recommended to carry the right kind of items with you. Don’t forget to carry fleece jackets, hiking shoes and socks to prevent cold from getting through your feet. Pokhara Trek To Australian Base Camp

Enjoy hot breakfast in Pokhara and then embark to the Kande, where you will begin your short trek to Australian Base Camp. Dhampus Trek

A classic trek in Nepal, Dhampus Trek covers scenic beauty and gives you the opportunity to a land that’s inhabited with such wide diversity of people. The spectacular scenery in the background, the stunning Mt. Mchhapuchare range makes the small trek quite rewarding experience.


Highlights:The Dhampus Trek follows short stretch of woods, perfect for those who would like to discover nature. The mountain view point is completed with the views of ethnic Gurung Village. The trip, which begins for Kathmandu usually follows a hike to Sarankot hilltop and then panoramic views of Annapurna range.

:While the trek is short and easy, it is recommended that travelers carry their water bottles, come with right kind of equipment and gear. Don’t forget to carry sunglasses as well as winter clothing with lots of sunscreen as trekking can lead to sunburns.

Bindyabasini Temple

The temple comes with its own beauty which makes the temple a beautiful place for tourists.

: Situated at a height of 3000 ft. above sea level and dedicated to Goddess Bhagawati, this is one of the oldest temple in pokhara valley.

: Situated on a hillock near busy old bazaar of pokhara, this wonderful religious landmark has immense natural beauty and is worshiped by Hindus and Buddhist alike.Worshipers flock to this place to perform animal sacrifice especially on saturdays. you can clearly observe beauty of Machhapuchhere/annapurna Himalyan range from this Temple.

Old Bazar

The bazaar lets you witness some mysterious alleys and courtyard which might not have witnessed before. The brightly clad locals of Kathmandu lets you see many Gurkhas and Sherpas.

: Shop for some fruits vegetables, fruits, spices and stunning wares made of brass, copper and bronze. You can also view some temples and shrines which is likely to make Old Bazaar worth a visit.

Begnas Lake

A quiet fresh water lake in kaski district of nepal that changes colour depending on the season. it is the second largest of the eight lakes in Pokhara valley with a maximum depth of 10 meters.

: It takes about 40 minutes by bus from Pokhara to reach the lake. Not far from the maddening crowd but extremely clean and quiet. Since it is visited comparatively less, the original beauty is undisturbed.

The lake supports irrigation and fisheries. Water level in the lake is regulated by a dam constructed in 1988 as it fluctuates with season and because of use for irrigation. Pressure of increasing human population is forcing conversion of swampy area into land for cultivation.

Highlights: Boating, fishing and swimming are some of the activities you can indulge in, the bonus being surrounding green mountains.

: There are whole lot of hotels around to suit different budgets but the entry to this lake is free.

What You Should Know More About Pokhara

  • Q. Travel advice

    • You can take a flight to Kathmandu in Nepal and take a car ride or a bus ride to the Pokhara City. This is city can also be covered by foot.

    • Carry a passport with you all the time and also photocopies of all the travel documents.

    • When you visit temples and other places considered sacred and holy, avoid wearing short dresses and sleeveless tops.

    • Always remove your footwear when entering temples. Also, in a few temples non Hindus are not allowed.

    • Always trek in groups and take guided treks and camping.

    • Get sufficient amount of rest before you start trekking and ensure that you are physically fit.
